In news, the Omicron variant is rampaging its way around the world, which is certainly not comfortable,

but reports continue to come out showing that the variant is less severe than beta and delta.

The vaccines, including the booster, are also effective at lowering the severity of Omicron,

although not as effectively as previous variants, but still worth getting for most people.

Ask your doctor, not your friends. Don't ask social media.

Omicron has caused some organizations to worry about holding events again. Here we are.

We've been here before.

So ISSE is the first victim.

Professional Beauty Association who throws the event every year has postponed it

from the end of January to June 25th and 26th of 2021.

Kind of a bummer there.

China recently locked down the city of Shian.

Shian China, if I'm saying that right.

Shian China has 13 million people living there uh they shut it down because

they found 125 cases of covid across a population of 13 million so they shut it down one person from

each household will be allowed out of the house every two days to buy household necessities, a government order said.

Other family members are required to stay at home, although the rule is not being rigorously enforced.

Of course, because how could you possibly enforce it when you got 13 million people.

This is an example of what's called a zero tolerance COVID policy.

We've seen this around the world.

Australia did it, a few other places have did it.
