Today we are going to talk about 1st and 2nd Timothy, Titus and Philemon.

Now 1st and 2nd Timothy and Titus are considered the pastorals.

They're called the pastorals because these are letters that are written to individuals

that are being leaders over churches and there's advice as to how to pastor or to shepherd

the sheep, how to be a bishop or an overseer, how to guide the saints, how to take care

of the flock.

And so these three letters, Timothy and Titus are in the context of helping leaders to run

And in scholarship, many scholars look at these as non-authentic Pauline Epistles because
