Summary

Not only did we not get a red tsunami on Election Day, but we didn’t even get a red wave. So what happened? It’s obvious that there’s a great contradiction between the feelings of voters and their actual vote at the ballot box. Today, Liz examines the factors that were at play—including the Trump factor—in an attempt to marry voter dissatisfaction with the results we saw on Tuesday. Who or what is to blame and where do we go from here? This is The Liz Wheeler Show. -- Cozy Earth provides the softest, most luxurious sheets on the planet. Hi guys, welcome to the Liz Wheeler Show, I'm Liz Wheeler.

0:03.4

Well, I think that we are all frustrated and disappointed by what happened on Tuesday during

0:11.5

election day. I know, speaking for myself here, I was hoping for not just a red wave, I was hoping

0:18.3

for a red tsunami. I don't think that that happened. And so my question is, what did happen?

0:24.6

There's a contradiction between what people's voters feelings were and what their vote was.

0:35.1

And this contradiction has been bothering me ever since I realized what the reality of the outcome

0:40.3

of the election was. For example, even CNN was touting an exit poll. CNN. Now, I don't even trust

0:47.4

CNN not to have a bias poll. I'm sure that the phraseology of their poll, the language they used,

0:51.8

the way that they constructed their question was biased, but even CNN was touting an exit poll that

0:56.8

said that 73% of voters were angry or dissatisfied with how things have been going under Biden's

1:05.9

presidency the past two years. How do you marry that? 73% that's three quarters of voters are angry

1:13.9

or unhappy with how Biden's doing. How do you marry that with what happened on Tuesday?

1:18.8

With the fact that we didn't, the Republican Party did not flip any blue seats. We held our seats,

1:28.5

but we didn't flip any blue seats. Where was this red wave that we were expecting? And who's to blame?

1:35.6

What is to blame? And who is to blame for it not happening the way that we wanted it to happen?

1:41.6

That's what I want to talk about today. I have been thinking and analyzing exactly what

1:51.9

happened because my first initial gut reaction, my hot take, was different than what I am feeling

1:58.4

right now. So I want to just share with you my thought process from where I was the evening of

2:05.7

the election and early the next morning, sort of my gut reaction, my emotional reaction to where I am

2:11.8

now. So that's what we're going to do today. Let's get started.

2:24.4

Okay, so first I want to talk to about Posey Earth. I want to ask you a question. How did you

2:28.2

sleep last night? This is an unfair question for me to ask because I took a flight from Florida
