There was, there was, there used to be like every chief was like the closest,

like kind of like the priest, you know know the closest to all of these like

clan deities and in our tribe we have like four of them and you know they had these

four spirit houses and the men would go through their initiation ritual and go through the

circumcision process to get rid of all of their moms'

clans blood, right? Because their moms were instrumental in making them, you know,

but you want to be like part of your dad's

clan and so you get rid of all your mom's clan's blood and then you're like really part of the

man's clan and then the elder in that clan he's the one who's responsible

for setting up all the ceremonies and stuff.

And yeah, these gods were like instrumental in, you know, keeping people healthy, keeping their crops.

I mean, they don't have crops, their growing, and, you know, helping them out in physical warfare, you know, to steal ground over there, to steal that territory, to get revenge, you know, and if some other clan or some other tribe came and like messed you guys up,

like the God would be pissed and he'd be like he'd give you guys juice to like go mess those guys up,

you know, and take territory or women or whatever it was from them, you know?

Totally the bad juice.

But yeah, that's how they live, I mean, that's how they even think now, even now that their

spirit houses are gone, like it it's still, like, that is the world view,

that's how they see the whole world, and everything, you know, revolves around the spirit world.
