Hey everybody, Tom Woods here.

Our old friend Jean Epstein is with us again.

It's always so much fun to talk to Jean.

This particular episode was entirely my idea.

Sometimes people come to me with ideas for episodes.

This was 100% my idea.

Jean had a recent debate at his Soho Forum, which you all know about very well.

It had to do with capitalism and whether capitalism, quote, unquote, or the free market was responsible

for, let's say, the sluggish growth of the US economy in recent decades.

I thought Jean's opening statement just crushed his opponent.

It's just point by point, I emailed Jean after hearing it.

I hadn't heard the rest of the debate.

I just said, that was a slaughter.

So I thought, let's pick this apart and talk about it, make an episode out of it.

But Jean, let's begin by talking about what Soho Forum is up to these days.

You all know Jean has a storied career, credentials as long as his arm.

But now he's doing this really, really important work with this debate series.
