But first, before we start with anything else, this was actually just developing as we

were getting the show ready today.

There has been a major update in the trial for the illegal immigrant, a Trend de Aragua Venezuelan gang member, the one that

killed young Lake and Riley earlier this year, the one who was killed and became a name

synonymous with the violence and cartel gang-related activity that has sincerely crippled and scared this country.

But here is what we have for an update regarding that verdict.

A judge has convicted the man on trial for the killing of Lake and Riley, a nursing student in Georgia whose death

in February shook the college town where she studied, as well as the country. Jose Ibarra,

26, was found guilty of murder and other charges related to Riley's death. Ibarra, an undocumented

Venezuelan immigrant, entered the United States legally in 2022,

but he was allowed to remain in the country to pursue his immigration case.

His status helped bring the national debate over border laws to a boiling point earlier this year
