Is there a place in the world where you're not known?

0:03.0

No. Today's guest is one of the biggest musicians in the world. The history of music. I want to talk about your life from the perspective of being a songwriter. That's where I find this such an interesting podcast to come on. Why didn't you give up? I didn't have a plan B. Do you run out of ideas? I go through seasons. So I'll have days where I'm just on, and then I'll have months where it's shit. Putting yourself out there like that, until it's successful, it is embarrassing because you've got nothing to show for it. And I think the only solace you can find is, like, you love it. You know, all your friends go to university, and then they start getting jobs,'re comfortable, they have money, blah blah blah, and you're the one that turns up not having showered for four days, wearing the same socks for a week. I can't thank you enough on behalf of all songwriters. I appreciate that man, thank you. You're like the first person to like publicly say thank you. If you were to give your kids the advice when they say, I want to do music, what do you say to them right now?
