00:26 – A brief overview of these chapters.

12:36 – Judaizers are instructing the Galatians to follow the law of Moses, which Paul taught is no longer necessary.

19:24 – Many are called but few are chosen. There is a distinction between authority and power.

22:23 – Paul speaks of attending the Jerusalem Conference (Acts 15). When we make spiritual progress and let go of a bad habit, we need to replace it with something good.

31:17 – We are not justified by the works of the law, but by our faith in Jesus Christ. God justified Abraham who knew not the law.

37:43 – The law of Moses was the schoolmaster until Christ.

42:32 – “Put on Christ” can be a reference to putting on sacred vestments, as well as taking on the attributes of Jesus Christ.

47:54 – Servants become heirs through covenants.

52:05 – Paul is reversing the argument of the Judaizers. All who are of the faith and baptized into Christ become Abraham’s seed.

57:47 – The works of the flesh and the fruits of the spirit are listed. Be not weary in well-doing.

0:31.6

That's it.

0:32.6

Just one epistle of Paul, which is kind of nice to focus our attention on one epistle.

0:37.2

But once again, we need to know a little bit of a background, what's going on?

0:41.7

He is going to jump around quite a bit, but he's going to address some very significant

0:45.9

problems that have surfaced.

0:47.9

So we do need to do a little bit of background before we jump into chapter one.

0:51.9

You know, the book of Galatians really reminds me of a time when I was working on digging

0:55.9

trenches.

0:56.9

I had bought this house, and I had to do the landscaping, and it was tiered.

1:01.5

I had, it wasn't just one level, but I had to cover different tiers.

1:04.6

And so I had levels that I was digging trenches in, and I was laying the pipe and getting

1:10.2

it put in.

1:11.3

And every time I would dig the trenches, I would go to work, and the next day, it would

1:16.9

rain.

1:18.2

And the rain would come, even though the weatherman said it wasn't going to rain.
