Today we are going to be talking about

the scandal surrounding the new film cuties which is due to be released onto

Netflix in September so as we all pretty much know by now there's a lot of filler on Netflix and sure there are

popular shows and movies things that everyone has heard of blockbusters

but there are also things like foreign and independent films on the platform.

Things that aren't necessarily there because there's this huge audience demand for them,

but rather frankly, in my opinion, because Netflix can cheaply secure the

distribution rights to them and use them to kind of fill out their

catalog and you know what no hate toward independent or foreign films.

There's a lot of great ones out there

and I don't want any angry cinephiles yelling at me in the comments,

but it's just a fact of the matter

that honestly, no, most people don't like watching movies with things like subtitles or a dub track

That's just how it is and you know what for the most part especially foreign films they just kind of exist on Netflix without much attention, either negative or positive,

but the same cannot be said for the film, cuties, or Ming-Yun in its original Francais,

a film that debuted at this year's Sundance Film Festival.
