Very glad to be joined once again by our friend Dan McCarthy,

who in addition to editing modern age, the venerable periodical,

and having his great spectator column and all the other things he does,

he is the author of very substantial forward to an old postwar conservative classic in America,

the conservative affirmation by Wilmore Kendall, published in a special edition,

Gateway Editions of Regnery, which is of course our sort of mutual friend,

and published with Regnery a number of times.

And I wanted to talk about this book with Dan,

because Kendall is a key figure in the history of postwar conservatism,

and yet for a number of reasons Dan discusses in the forward,

he's not maybe as well known as he might otherwise be,
