If hearing that name doesn't make you automatically think of one of the most influential people in flyfishing's history,

then thank goodness you found your way to this podcast. Steve Ray Jeff is, in my opinion, anyway,

the best caster in the world. Yes, I said it. Simply put, the man was born for the sport.

Steve is one of the few men in the industry who people have heard of yet know very little about. He is the epitome of a

private person and is somebody I've spent some time fishing with but not nearly enough time

speaking to. After a little coaxing I met with him at the G. Loomis factory in

Washington to see if I could learn a little more about him and to get a better feel

on how he came to be.
