Welcome back to the Curious Podcast with me, Josh Peck. I'm your host. I'm your guide. I'm your

mentor, maybe. I like to think of myself as that, perhaps? I like to think that you hold me in a

certain esteem. And when life's not treating you right and you're just feeling all types of ways

and you're like, God, is this it? Really? This was not the adulthood that I dreamed of as a child.

I thought it would be so much more full of just exciting prospects and limitless possibilities.

And it's just a lot of worrying about where we're going to go out to eat and how expensive health

insurance is. And do we need show time? I want show time. But do we? Like, do we need it? Maybe?

Look, I'll tell you what, piecemeal, piecemeal it, honey. I'll get HBO and show time for a month. We'll watch

fucking everything, okay? We're going to watch everything. We're going to on-demand it. I'm going to, I'm going to, you know, do the whole

HBO go thing then after a month, give her it a bit. And maybe we should call the cable company and see if the lower our bill

because they always do. It's not fascinating how like you can call the cable company and they just, you'll say like, listen, I'm leaving. You know what? I think I'm, I think I'm just going to stream at this point. I really just

watch Netflix and they'll be like, okay, hear us out. If you're going to leave, we know your bills $250. But how much? How about if you only pay $11 a month? And

you're like, what the fuck? I could have been paying $11 a month. They're like, we just, we needed something just in case, you know, we needed an ace in the

hole that if you were threatening to leave, we'd keep you here. You're like, God, 11 to all right. I suppose like, can I get faster internet with that? Yeah. Of

course you can. Yeah, we just arbitrarily keep your numbers low so that you, that you need us. We just want to frustrate you

basically. We don't want you downloading too many things, you know, you don't need all that. Just us. This is such an adult. This is

a grown up thing, cable bills. I never thought I'd be making myself laugh about it at 31. Yeah. But, you know, so is life. These are the

intricacies. This is the minutia of just like being alive past the age of 30. This is a thing we get off on. I mean, I, I really like hanging out

with older people because I'm just just big fans and it'll be fascinating to me when I'll talk to a friend who's like in their 70s. I'm
