covering 1 Corinthians chapters 8 through 13.

And most of those are little individual, little answers to different questions.

They're just different subjects, they really don't have a theme that flows through them,

so we're going to tackle them chapter by chapter.

Now the first question, 1 Corinthians chapter 8, clearly he was asked a question, is

it okay to eat meat that my neighbor sacrificed to his pagan god?

So my neighbor's the pagan, my neighbor is the one that's worshipping the pagan god,

and he's having a little sacrifice to it, and then he invited me over to eat the meat.

Now that was kind of customary in the Jews that they would offer a sacrifice and take

them meat home, and you could very legitimately invite your neighbors over to participate

with you.

So that's not an unheard of practice even among the Jews that you would invite your neighbors

over to feast upon a meal that you sacrificed to your god.

But the question is, can I eat the meat that my neighbor sacrificed to his pagan god,

not to Jehovah, not to the god of the Old Testament, but to his pagan god, am I corrupting

myself if I eat my neighbor's meat?
