On the morning of December 23, 2015, Rick debate made his kids lunches, fed the family

cats, and cleaned out their litter boxes. The mundane routine activities of life, while

his wife Connie was exercising at the YMCA. It was her day off from work. When Connie arrived

at the gym that morning at 8.53, she found out her class was canceled, so she returned

back home. She was seen on video surveillance leaving at 908. She lived 4.9 miles away.

A drive police would later say it takes approximately 7 minutes and 38 seconds. Meanwhile, Rick

went to work. I didn't get very far, he would later tell detectives. He forgot his laptop

and turned around. It was only a few minutes to get back. He drove up the driveway, went

inside. It was around 8.45 or 9 am at that point, Rick said. Something stood out to him,
