At trial, both the prosecution and the defense agreed that Danielle Redlich stabbed her

husband in their Winter Park floor to home in January 2019.

But was Danielle a cold-hearted wife who wanted out of her marriage?

Was she really scrolling on a dating app while she waited 11 hours to report his death

to authorities?

However, was Danielle a terrified woman in the middle of an abusive relationship who had

no choice but to defend herself?

Was she so caught up in the trauma that she didn't call 911 right away?

The jury was going to wrestle with which version of Danielle was the truth when her trial

got underway in 2022.

In last week's episode, you heard about the long, tumultuous history between Danielle and

her husband, Michael, who was 21 years her senior.

Michael's friends told police they worried Danielle was going to hurt him someday, by the

way she threw plates at him and screamed at him when she had been drinking.

Michael was seen occasionally with scratches and bruises, some said.

Michael had been a well-respected sports executive who worked for professional teams across the

country.

He then became the director of external affairs and partnership relations for the

Divas Sport Business Management Program at the University of Central Florida.

He reportedly wanted to settle down and live in one place to raise their two kids.

And then there was of course the strange side note to this story.

Michael had been married to Danielle's mother briefly before she died from cancer.
