A man in British Columbia was smacked in the face by a grouse earlier this month as he

was driving in his car into Prince George BC.

Everything kinda went bright and I heard a ringing in my ears said Josh Seymour, an elected

counselor with a local First Nations tribe.

The bird had somehow managed to fly through the 4 inch gap between the top Seymour's

open window and the door frame.

And Ornithologist told CBC News that the odds of that happening are 1 on the million.

Now an Ornithologist is qualified to come up with those odds we'll never know.

Grouse will often flush at the sound of an oncoming vehicle, but they usually end up in the car's

grill or front bumper.

This Grouse was actually pretty lucky to find himself inside the vehicle rather than flattened

underneath it.

Seymour was confused enough for the both of them.
