Of course, Paul holds a PhD in history from Yale University and he is the editor of Chronicles

magazine. And I've seen a couple of his recent columns and thought we should talk this through,

but we're going to talk it through and then who knows where it's going to go. Because I'm going

to treat this as if I called Paul up on the phone and we're just talking. So you're listening in

to my private conversation and effect. Think of it that way because we're probably going to be

all over the place. But just wherever the conversation goes is where it goes. Paul, welcome back

to the show. Thank you for having me once again. I like being undeseaved. You know, I don't want to

get false hope. I don't want people to say what I want to hear. But Doug Gunnett, Paul Godfried,

when I read your columns, it's like, this is too much undeseaved. I think I do want to be

slightly deceived. I can't stand to be ground down this much when I read some of what you're right.
