Hello and welcome to Business 300.

My name is Philip Kulenshov and this is 300 seconds about business.

We're all a busy people, so I have five minutes or less to get my point across.

Another problem? another business 300.

Yes, we have many problems, and problems have been with us long before our own existence.

There have been times in history much more challenging than our current time,

and we can safely expect there to be greater obstacles in our future.

Our cups being full of trials is not just a current reality. It happens to be an ongoing one.

That may come off as pessimistic or discouraging for some,

and sure, problems can in fact be disheartening.

But they shouldn't have to be.

There's another way to say a similar thing, but with a different emphasis,

an emphasis that might change our perspective.

Another way of looking at a problem-filled living situation is that it's full of opportunities for solutions.

I get it, naive optimism is annoying. But if optimism is what it takes to be productive, then I'll take it.

Whatever we want to call it, all I'm saying is that there is a way to look at a problem with faith that a solution is possible and then working hard towards that solution.

Simply having our hands stop working when we come across an obstacle won't get us very far.

We must be more than just problem seers. We must be problem solvers.

Somebody else could say or resent without putting words to it, that if we didn't

have problems, we wouldn't need to find solutions. Finding solution is itself a problem we have to deal with.

Fair, but also not fully correct. If we didn't have problems, we wouldn't have solutions. The world,

as we know it, is not the same world per se that our ancestors lived in a thousand years ago, or the ones a thousand years before them.
