It's a cold, wet, rainy, dreary day at Camelback Ranch. And it kind of

fits the mood of, I know a lot of White Sox fans who are still reeling from the Mani Machado decision.

And here on the podcast, you know, as you are all trying to pick up the pieces of the Machado

saga, Carlos Rodon is someone who's kind of picking up the pieces as well, considering

the first few years of his career and what happened at the end of last year.

As someone who has been here, not just before the rebuild, but during the rebuild for

sure, and someone who hopes to play a big role with the White Sox when their contending window

opens. Rodan says, here on the podcast, it's time to start winning. He's not promising a

division crown in 2019, but after enduring a lot of losing on the

field during the rebuild, he knows that everybody in that clubhouse needs to prove their worth

in 2019 and win more games, and including him, points a lot of it right at himself. He's quite

frank about that, about what happened to him last September.

If he thinks he'll start for the White Sox on opening day,

and talks about the White Sox quest to sign Manny Machado.

So here's my conversation with Carlos Rodan.

He's a guy who wants to be the pitcher everyone hopes and thinks he can be.

And it would be great to see that happen here in 2019.
