in the United States of America. As we're doing right now. So exactly, it's very fitting. So

congratulations to the birthday podcast. Birthday podcast. And the other thing is it is, I think,

a thousand degrees outside. Roughly, it's been miserable. It's not even June and it is so

freaking hot outside. Yeah, we unbelievable. We've left the the very choice two weeks of weather

that Texas gets twice a year once in the fall, once in the spring. We're now into what I like to call

Satan's butthole weather. The Texas sweat is on. It's like a Ronco road tisserie oven in here, a

convection style of heat that is only known to Texas in the United States that we're going to have

to put up with until late August. Oh my God. So goodbye everyone because I'm staying in the house for

months. Wait, we could still podcast in the air conditioning. Thank God for that. All right, guys. Well,

this is the thing. So we finished two massive series relating to the Texas prison and judicial system

and how these cases both reflected and impacted socio-political landscapes here in Texas and even

on a national level. We did really big kind of crazy cases. They were really hard to research. And I

thought, you know what? Let's go back to basics and cover a small simple case. And for some

damn reason, I chose this one. It is not small. It is not. Well, it is, I guess it's rather small,

but it's certainly not simple. It's a little annoying to be honest with you because it's like, I don't

know what to think about this case. But the more I looked into it, the more excited I got to talk to
