I feel a lot better after that crazy Open Championship. Had a podcast on Monday, if you didn't see that,

make sure you go check it out. The great Scott Van Pelt joined us. We recap the open. We talked about

Lynx Golf and the home of golf and how much fun it is to be over there.

And obviously his time getting to broadcast and be a part of the coverage with ABC and ESPN over the years at the Open, changing this year over to NBC.

But I wanted to expand a little bit on Phil Mickelson and, you know, Phil Nicholson's career and, you know, his longevity and how he's still

a factor and still battling and still getting close to winning majors and potentially winning

majors at 46 years old, which is, of course, the magic number in golf. I mean, when you think

about 46, you know, you think about Jack Nicholas in 1986. And, you know, again, that's the number

that we seem to keep around. That's the number that seems to be the peak and the pinnacle. And, you know, again, that's the number that we seem to keep around.

And I just believe that there's more to Phil Nicholson and we can dive a little bit deeper,

not only into this past week, but in his career and his major wins and his legacy

and how much more he's got left in the tank. So Alan Shibnuck of S.I. and Golf.com, the great golf rider,

joined me, a guy that's been covering Phil for many, many, many years. He was on a drive and took

some time, so I appreciate Alan doing that. Great conversation about Phil Mickelson. At the end,

he gives two or three great Phil Mickelson stories, so make sure you stay around to the end for that.

But just wanted to expand a little bit on Phil, because I think he's such a unique character

to the game of golf, to our sport. He's such an interesting ambassador. He's got a mind that is

unlike anything or anybody else that's ever played golf, in my opinion. And it's just so much

fun watching him get into these situations still, even in 2016.
