Hi everyone. It's June and for girls talk, this means we're busy talking about life skills.

This month we have possibly the biggest, baddest guest booked who are sharing their tools on how they live their

best lives. I can't wait to record them all and share them with you. And up this week is a woman

who has recently graduated from Columbia University in New York and co-written the book

Taking Up Space, which is available to buy on the 27th of June. The book is described as the

Black Girl's Manifesto for Change and explores the issues surrounding diversity and inclusion

within high education.

I've invited her on because I think the way she's talking about being a minority

in a predominantly white institution is open, honest and truly inspirational.

At Girls' Talk, we concentrate on the conversations that are really needed to be talked about.

And the subject of what it means for a young black girl today to find their voice at university

is something we're fully behind.
