All right, folks, welcome to an episode of the Eric Anders Lang Show.

You're listening on, what day are you listening on, Monday the

18th of January 2021, which happens to be Martin Luther King Day. A lot on my mind, nothing on paper, no notes. This is a stream of consciousness podcast.

You know, we're in a really strange time, right?

No matter who you are.

On Earth, for sure, even more so as an American, it's a weird time. There's a lot, a

lot of uncertainty and a lot of anger and a lot of other things.

A lot of those things were lumped into this political bag that I don't think necessarily should be.

I'm speaking about the issues of racism in the year 2020, beginning with the

murder of George Floyd. And I'm gonna basically, I want to get into, you know, the title of this podcast is Why I Hate Golf.

And, you know, obviously I love this game.

But there's a lot of reasons why I almost

almost hate it completely. I don't but I think that puts me in a position of

needing to act and needing to be active and

needing to maybe even be an activist which I would never ever have described myself

as but I think at some point along this path, when you get as angry

as I've gotten about the things that I've seen and felt and heard, you just then move into

action or you exit entirely. and I don't mean like death I mean like you just you just can't play the game

whatever that game is

so we'll talk a little bit about what happened at the tournament of champions after a five foot putt was missed and a homophobic slur was whispered under the breath of a

player to themselves.

Sure, it was to themselves.
