Organizers of a hunting competition in New Zealand found themselves in International

Hot Water last week after they proposed and then canceled a Ferral Cat hunting competition

for children.

That would be a competition where the children hunt the Ferral Cats, not the other way

around.

Anyway, the event had been announced as part of a June fundraiser for a school in a rural

area of the country, according to the BBC.

The annual competition sees hundreds of participants, some of whom are children, who compete

to harvest wild pigs, deer, and hair.
