Summary
The remaining members of theĀ Night's WatchĀ fromĀ Castle BlackĀ and several people fromĀ Mole's Townman theĀ WallĀ asĀ Manceās army approaches. As the Watch repels attack after attack from their great vantage point, some of theĀ wildlingsĀ have reach the gate. To his surprise,Ā JonĀ is left in command asĀ Donal NoyeĀ leaves to defend the gate. Jon orders fire arrows and oil casks dropped on theĀ giantsĀ andĀ mammoths, and the defenders once again repel theĀ wildling attack. In the aftermath of the fighting, Jon goes down into the gate tunnel, to find Donal Noye dead alongsideĀ Mag Mar Tun Doh Weg. When Jon tells MaesterĀ AemonĀ the news, the ancientĀ maesterĀ tells him that he must lead the Watch now.
