We are back for what's up this week from the Do This Not That podcast presented by Marigold.

election is coming up if that is news to you that is pretty strange uh but for everybody else

that knows it's coming up why are we talking about this the last thing i'll ever do on this podcast

is talk about politics.

That is like nails on a chalkboard.

But something related to it that is interesting that both parties are pushing for

is for voters, all of us, to have time off to vote, pay time off to vote, or at least

not getting penalized, time off to vote. And least not getting penalized time off to vote.

And what people don't actually know is that there is no federal law that requires companies

to allow their employees to go vote.

But more and more companies are providing for that.

We're seeing that a big growing trend.

And 31 states now have policies that mandate

workers receive time off to vote. Some of them are paid time off. Some of them aren't. And I don't
