A mother, three children, and their dog were found dead in the idyllic community of celebration

Florida.

Megan Toat and her children were found wrapped up in blankets, almost as though they were

ready for bed.

They had been deceased for several weeks.

Their bodies were badly decomposed when authorities found them in January 2020.

Anthony Toat, the husband and father, had been living with the remains of his family

for several weeks.

And his family, he had moved them all to the same room.

He put rogeries in all their hands.

He covered them all up with blankets.

He's also putting a lot of plug-ins, there's candles in the trash, there's air purifiers that

are stacked in this room, and he is living in this bedroom with his dead family.

The horrific details caught the attention of media outlets like People Magazine and the

local Orlando Sentinel newspaper.

And it was picked up by newspapers across the country by the time the trial began this

year.

Anthony was charged with four counts of first-degree murder, and one count of animal cruelty.

He pleaded not guilty.
