My two weeks' holiday up in town was coming to an end,

and I cannot say that I greatly regretted it.

It had been pleasant to go back to the world of my childhood,

but I was beginning to suspect that something very sinister was going on at Bertram's.

We present June Whitfield as Miss Marple and Frederick Yeager as Chief Inspector Davy

in Agatha Christie's at Bertram's Hotel.

There was one thing at least which helped to set my mind at rest.

Poor Cannon Pennyfather had been found at last.

But when Chief Inspector Davy and Inspector Campbell went down to Chadminster to see him,

the mystery of his disappearance seemed more inexplicable than ever.

I'm afraid that I simply cannot remember anything at all, Inspector.

You said you were knocked down by a car.
