Jake Sullivan became well known around the country in 2016 as the senior policy advisor to

Hillary Clinton and her campaign for president.

But if you spent much time studying national security in the last decade, you'd know his

name.

He was the national security advisor for Vice President Biden.

He was a top aide to Hillary Clinton when she was Secretary of State.

And he was a major player in the negotiation of the nuclear agreement with Iran among other

foreign policy initiatives of the Obama administration.

I sat down with Jake in the following.

Many visited the Institute of Politics at the University of Chicago to talk about North

Korea, Iran, and a series of other challenges.

Obviously, events have advanced since that time, but the fundamentals are the same.

And it's hard to find a more incisive commentator on these issues than Jake Sullivan.
