0:10.5	At least that's how he was quoted back in 1916 in the Chicago Tribune.
0:16.6	Ford wasn't very happy to be quoted that way.
0:19.9	And it was because of that interview that back in 1916 Ford ended up suing the paper for

0:28.1	During the trial, defense attorneys quizzed Henry Ford in his knowledge of history, to
0:33.2	which he tried to explain that his quote was taken out of context.
0:37.4	And what he really meant to say was that the history taught in schools was bunked to him.
0:43.4	Henry Ford didn't like that so much of the history books were focused on the lives of
0:46.8	kings and generals.
0:49.4	And often admitted the stories of ordinary people.
0:52.5	And the way history was affected by them.
0:55.6	So in order to change this Henry Ford decided he was going to build a museum dedicated to
0:59.4	the real history of the United States of America.
1:03.7	Offering exhibits that paint a much broader portrait of life in the US than was taught
1:08.4	in the history books.
1:10.7	He originally named this museum the Edison Institute, after his friend and personal hero Thomas
1:16.1	Edison.
1:17.9	Over time, the institute would be renamed the Henry Ford Museum in Greenfield Village.
1:22.7	Later shortened to just the Henry Ford.
1:25.5	And you can still visit it today in Dearborn, Michigan.
