Army vs. Navy is America at its best. Now this weekend, Army and Navy will play in one of the

most symbolic games that we have in all of sports. This game is steeped in tradition,

and in the past has had national championship and high-spin implications.

Now while tomorrow's game doesn't feature two teams which are predominant powers any more of

college football, this game means as much if not more than it ever has. Now right now with our

country being as divided as we are, and really as we've ever seen, and our society being challenged

on many fronts, bringing together the people who allow us to have our opinions and freedoms to

play this game and comment on this game we all love means more than any championship ring or

hysmotrophy ever will. These are the people who sacrifice everything for us, and being able to

celebrate them in this way should unite all of us, regardless of which teams bear any you fly,

or even if you have a team to root for in any affiliation with this game. Now my grandfather

served in the Navy, and he was there during Pearl Harbor. And while he wasn't as attached to the

game or sports in general as me and my father were, when Navy played Army he was always ready to

run through a brick wall. He would cuss up and down when Army would score, and then I'd see the

young man in him come out whenever Navy would make a big play. Now this game features the best of us,

and while one team will ultimately be decided to win her, each one of these young men were winners

before the ball was even kicked off, and the rigorous schedule they go through isn't for the faint
