Nobody is ever always right in any business, but there are moments when you have to pull

a John Snow from Game of Thrones and say what you believe regardless of the backlash.

I'm not talking about politics, I'm talking about the overhyped Gonzaga team that fell

to Arkansas yesterday in the sweet 16.

Since late January, really the whole season, the media has fed us a narrative about how

this was Gonzaga's year and they were a clear favorite to win the whole Shebang.

I said multiple times, not only on this show, but on other outlets, I didn't even believe

this year's Zag's team would make it past the sweet 16.

And boy, I caught hell on wheels, not only from pundits, but fans as well.

And that's okay.

It's part of the job.

I get it.

But if I didn't say this take coming to fruition yesterday, it wasn't sweeter than the 16.

I would be lying.

I do want to say I think Mark Fu is an elite coach and a great program builder.

And my opinion wasn't an indictment on any other team that he's had while at Gonzaga.

There is a trap though that a lot of people and fans fall into with certain brands or

Cinderella teams, even though Gonzaga is not really a Cinderella anymore.
