Hello, welcome back to Young Herodics.

This is episode two, the second episode of this podcast, surprise, surprise.

It was not just a one-off thing.

Here we are.

Again, we will actually be here every week, if you can believe it.

I can hardly believe it myself, but it's happening.

It's real.

This is the podcast where we bring you Western culture without the culture wars.

I've come to think of it as a place where we meet social justice warriors, not with

an olive branch, but with a shrug.

I outlined in my first episode where I stand on the culture wars.

I think it's quite clear and has been clear for a while, but I don't really care about

identity politics and queer theory and feminist theory and so on.

But I also want to make clear that I'm really not going to spend a lot of time arguing about

that because I don't think it's helpful most of the time to argue with stupid people,

and I would rather spend time reading great books and talking about the West.

That is what we do here on Young Heretics.

This week we're going to talk about the biblical book, The Prophecy of Isaiah.

I'm going to give you a disclaimer at the beginning, which is that I studied in the UK.

That's where I did all my graduate work.

In England, as you know, they talk kind of funny and they say some words differently than

we say them.
