Notably a preview of some incredibly tasty quarterfinals coming up on Friday and Saturday, but first it is time to welcome in these beauties here with me today.

I was this close to saying, you know, we got the gang back together, but then Tommy and Mikey both have last minute conflicts, but pound for pound. I think I'd take this crew against anybody in the soccer podcast world. So first up, we got Mitchell Goulet aka overtime Mitch. It has been a minute. He's been on a modest sabbatical.

What the hell have you been up to boss man? I've been here there everywhere exploring the big cities of the United States, like Jackson, Mississippi and Lexington, Kentucky.

The concrete jungles, you know, so then a bit busy. Sure, I'm sure you're the soccer guy at all times. So I'm sure you had a few things to do.

But question for you though, quickly, yes or no is Gabby Hayes uses injury, the beginning of the end for arsenal season.

No, and that is a incredibly hot question to just a quick cue. No, that is no, no, is my answer. Now we'll find someone in January. And you can't fill those shoes, but they'll try their best. And I have the utmost confidence in this arsenal side. My answer is no.

I just want to give a shot in there before we turn international. It's been a while. You know, it's good to have you back just had you let you know. All right, last and never least we got Tyler Terrance fresh off of our first official Monday night game together as teammates.

We're pleased to disclose to those who guessed about my Instagram story. Yes, he did score a goal. You most of you, well, some of you were absolutely correct.

Your question though, Tyler, is how do you feel about the fact that 54% of our people guessed that you did not in fact score?

I don't know, haters are going to hate. I just I feel like you you you elicit some of the best in us, but I feel like at the same time you elicit some some evil people and some evil things out of people.

And I feel like a lot of people were probably just thinking, no, he didn't score, but that that's nonsense. Of course I scored. Let's play this. Let's play this game every week. Let's let's let's see how that unfolds.

I'm actually thinking about doing that. We'll see how it goes. You also hit two posts. I actually would have put money on you bring that up, but you didn't, which I mean listen.

Again, I still think that that should be a shot on target, but that's that's another here, no, there.

And go in the goal. Anyway, all right, we'll move on. After the good stuff, the quarterfinals are upon us. Let's turn our attention back to World Cup 2022.

So before we get to the actual quarterfinals, if we're being completely honest with ourselves here, you know, I'd say we've been so wrapped up in the United States performance that we probably are a little guilty of given a little

short shrift to the rest of what in my mind has been a pretty incredible tournament so far.

So Mitchell, this is going to you first. It's been a while. It's good to have you back. Let's get some thoughts from you.

Early in the tournament still, right? We're still we're still getting to the nitty gritty, but so far.

You know, what how would you say this World Cup stacks up, you know, relative to some of the other recent tournaments?

Recent tournaments or recent World Cups because World Cup have only been alive for a handful of recent World Cups, not to age you.

But this one's been good. I don't think we are early in this tournament. I think the meat of the games have been played. We have eight games.
