The other thing I wanted to mention because it's really uncanny actually and it is that

this particular talk from Ramdas which emanates from oh 1977 in Santa Cruz March.

So the central thing around it is when Ramdas went off with a group to Thailand to do meditation

in Fipashana and one of the teachers was Ajahn Chah who was just an extraordinary being

and he went with Ramdas, went with Jack Cornfield and Joseph Goldstein who are such an important

part of our family and who we have been students of and working with over many many years

and Ramdas talks a lot in this and you know just listening and reading the notes and I'm

like wow he really is bringing together the idea that in the most evolved level he calls

it a Vipashana that there's a balance that exists between freedom, play and love on

one hand and commitment to lineage on the other and of course talking about what it's

like to be in a monastic lifestyle and so it's really phenomenal but the point more is
