Hello, friends, and welcome back to another episode of the Bikes for Death podcast. As always,

my name is Patrick, and I'm your host. And right off the bat, I want to offer a sincere

apology for how long it has been since my last episode. This episode was supposed to come out a week

ago, and there's a long story behind the scenes that involves me going out of town

and having car problems and getting stranded in another town without the ability to get any work

done. And so I was just stranded for almost a week and then I've been just dealing with all the

repercussions from that and work

and life. But all that aside, I am back and excited to be in your podcasting feed once again,

this time with my guest on today's episode, Annabelle Bitterman, who was the first place

women finisher of the Central Texas Showdown and worth noting that she came in third overall.

So a very impressive ride from Annabelle at this year's Central Texas Showdown.

This is in fact her third Texas Showdown series event.

She has done East Texas Slowdown, Central Texas Slowdown, and this time she stepped up to

the Central Texas Showdown.

So for anyone who isn't aware, I host a bikepacking race series in Texas called the Texas

Showdown series.

Now it's comprised of two events, East Texas

Showdown and Central Texas Showdown. And coming in 2025 is West Texas Showdown. And something

that very few people know about in 2025, we also have plans to release a Arkansas showdown. I know I've been

getting a lot, a lot, a lot of questions about West Texas showdown and I'm excited to say we're

making some excellent progress. I'm hoping to release all the registration details and everything at the beginning of 2025.

And of course, we'll be releasing more information about the new Arkansas Showdown as well very soon.
