Auburn announced yesterday that Hugh Freeze would take over as the new head football coach

after the Tigers let Brian Harson go meet midseason after poor performances continue

to mount.

Now there have been cries that freeze his past should totally neglect him from being

able to get a job like this and while he isn't perfect and some people are going to

hate him either way, there's a lot of good I think that Hugh Freeze has done and could

potentially do.

He checks off some of the most important boxes.

He has SEC head coaching experience.

He's won big games in the league.

He knows the areas where you can go have success recruiting and where you're wasting your

time in the most fertile college football recruiting ground on earth.

Now he also knows what it's like to screw up and screw up big time, which in its own

way, while it's one of the hardest lessons, can also be necessary sometimes.

Now to others that will be irredeemable, but to me, I think it makes him less likely

to screw up again.

He knows what it can cost him and he almost never got it back, which also means he's hungry,

which means he can't get complacent because he can't afford to.

I think it makes him dangerous in a good way to be quite honest with you.
