So the cold open, you guys just jump in, right? You just ask, you ready for a hot take? Quick question. All right. I have no idea what this is, by the way. It wasn't in the notes. All right. All right. So James wrote in said, in heaven, it's taught that there will be no more marriage between husband and wife. Does this mean we will no longer, quote, be fruitful and multiply or no more children?

Yeah, so that's a great question, James.

So there's two things.

So first is the teaching of Jesus.

And so that whole portion in scripture, James, is about the resurrection.

So what they're trying to do is trap him, you know, is there a resurrection or is there

not a resurrection?

And so really that's the,

that's kind of the overarching question behind the question. So it really has nothing to do with marriage. It has to do with, is the resurrection real or not? So some Jews believed in the

resurrection, the Pharisees. Some Jews did not believe. They did not believe there was a resurrection.

And so that's why, you you know procreation is so important

for the jews so the saddsees believe that resurrection was through your children and your grandchildren

and through your lineage um so again it's one of the reasons why when we talk about abortion

why for the jewish mindset abortion would have been unheard of and unthought of because your children

are literally so important.

So that's the question.

You know, is our lineage carried through resurrection or is it carried through multiplication

and through children and grandchildren and, you know, your family line?

So that's the overarching question.

So Jesus is saying you do not understand that.

So they asked this question.

So say a guy's married, this woman's married seven times.
