Summary

In this episode of the Epic Outdoors Podcast Jason Carter and Adam Bronson talk with Zac Griffith about his recent experiences in the field. This past weekend Zac was picked up by a Medivac helicopter after an accident in the hills. We wanted to hear the story direct form Zac so invited him to participate in the podcast. This episode also features several stories from Adam Bronson with broken backs, broken legs, and heart attacks. Just a reminder to be safe and be prepared while out in the field.

My body shut down. I blacked out. We had to get him lifelighted off the mountain. Turned out he did break two or three vertebrae in his back. And my whole back of my hand has blood running down my fingertips. Anything to do with Western big game.

We do want to get into that pretty heavy here in a minute, but maybe to kind of tee it up,

just maybe give us a little bit about your background, like where you grew up and kind of how

you got to where you're at today.

Okay, man, so I grew up in Salt Lake.

I was always, you know, just the typical Utah rifle hunter hunted two to three days a year. I consider myself hardcore. I moved to Phoenix in 2005 and moved into next to a guy that's probably one of the best bow hunters I've ever met. His name's Matt Lillenquist. I'm sure you know him well.
