We've got some astonishing developments among NATO officials and the war in Ukraine. They are now openly admitting that everything they've been saying about Ukraine has been a lie.

That they are losing, and NATO needs to find an off-ramp fast. Just a few days back, NATO official admitted that Ukraine will most likely have to cede territory to Russian forces that they're ever going to plausibly end up joining NATO.

It was a rather shocking admission made by the chief of staff for NATO General Secretary Jen Stoltenberg saying, quote,

I think that a solution could be for Ukraine to give up territory and get NATO membership in return.

Now, that common is coming on the heels of a recently published CNN article that quoted a Western official speaking anonymously who admitted that Ukraine's much-tauded counteroffensive has been an abject disaster.

The Russian frontlines in Ukraine are according to Colonel Douglas McGregor, the single most fortified areas on the planet.

There is and there has never been any way for Ukraine's already radically depleted and spent forces to break through those lines.

And so now you have these anonymous leaks from Western officials coming out and admitting that Ukraine's counteroffensive is in their words, quote,

extremely unlikely to bring about significant changes in the conflict's balance.

So now we've got this NATO official basically coming out and admitting that's it Ukraine is going to have to cede the lost territory.

But perhaps we can give them NATO membership as consolation.

Now, immediately as soon as this official made that claim, a number of punnets noted that now we know why Ukraine wasn't offered membership when NATO powers met Lithuania last month for their annual summit.

It was supposed to be centered on admitting Ukraine is an official member, but they inexplicably blew that off.

And you'll remember that excruciatingly humiliating photosolensky being visibly shut out from the NATO club as it were.

But with this latest admission by Stoltenberg's chief of staff, now we can see why? I mean, it all makes sense.

They were already talking about using NATO membership as a bargaining chip for an off-ramp.

Now Stoltenberg, the NATO general secretary, he's already backtracking on this.
