And so, you know, they spent about three years with a people that were known as the Quikuz,

or the Quikukuz, I don't know how to even say that.

And then after that, you know, they had to start reaching them, they started coming to the

Lord, and then his ultimate goal of reaching the Akas was realized.

And so they start flying over there, and I got to remember, these people were hardly touched

by civilization.

So while he got, when Jim and Elizabeth Elliott and the rest of the crew got to Ecuador,

at first they were just there to reach lost people in general.

And in the process of learning the language and understanding the land, they hear about

sort of almost like old wives' tales, that there's this tribe out there, that nobody

can get to, that nobody can reach, that if you get close, they'll attack you.

And his response, while everyone else is like, stay away from them, like the Elliott's

response was, that's where the Lord wants us.

Not away from danger, but into danger, not because they were adrenaline junkies, but because

what they heard were there are people out there who are lost.

You guys are obviously familiar with the, where are they now, articles, and documentaries

that regularly pop up online.

They can be very cruel, annoyingly so sometimes, yeah.

But my mind recently went on a, where is it now, journey, like where's that funky little

outfit that I wore in that picture of me at Disneyland when I was five years old, the

one that had the apples on it, looked like a matching pair of underwear and undershirt

that my mom dressed me up in.
