The college football playoff race is heating up.

The Vikings beat the bills in a showdown for the ages and Brandon Marcello joins us to

tell us if Lane Kiffin will be the next head coach at Auburn.

The Pac-12 did their best Jeffrey Dahmer impression this weekend when they cannibalized

two of their three legitimate contenders for this year's college football playoff.

UCLA lost at home to Arizona and Oregon lost a hell of a game in Odds and a Michael

Pinnock's junior and the Washington Huskies.

That seems their only hope right now to get into the playoff is for USC and Caleb Williams

to run the table the rest of the way, which includes the Pac-12 championship game.

Now that won't be easy, seeing as they've got to play UCLA in a rivalry game and they're

pissed off obviously, then Notre Dame at home who's hotter than Sherman Clump and a

sweat lodge right next to a volcano right now.

Now can USC do it?

Anything is possible.

But the defense is going to have to step up and play well against good competition.

The Trojan's best win is against a pesky Oregon state squad and while Caleb Williams

is a Hogwarts certified witch, this team doesn't seem to be the elite of the elite.

Now if you're a Tennessee fan or an LSU fan or a Clemson fan or any team on the cusp

of the playoff, watching the Pac-12 eat their own with sweet music to your ears.

The biggest question now is which conference will get two teams in?

Will it be the SEC?
