Let's start with about 10 minutes of meditation.

We'll do a little bit of teachings and mostly some dialogue and questions and responses.

If you would, let yourself find a way to sit that is comfortable and at ease, gracious, like the king or queen on your throne.

Both easy, gracious and at the same time a sense of dignity, presence.

You don't have to sit in any weird posture. You're weird enough as you are without adding to it from the meditation.

But find your way, your way on this earth to sit, halfway between heaven and earth, and take your seat.

And when you're ready, allow your eyes to close gently.

And take three slow long breaths.

And notice what happens as you do.

And keeping your attention here and now in your body.

Begin with some simple relaxation. Let your eyes and face be soft.

Loosen the jaw. If you like, you can roll your head in a little circle to release your neck and let it find a simple upright.

Let the shoulders relax and the arms and hands rest easily.

And feel the weight of your body, the connection with gravity that brings you in the earth, you are part of the earth, brings you together in a steady seat just now like a tree with roots.

Let the breath be soft, the barely be soft as well, the breath natural.

Let the heart be soft as well to receive whatever arises with kindness, compassion.

And now with this embodied attention with loving, mindful loving awareness, feel how this whole body breathes itself, it's breathing with the earth.
