Barclays, here for the land of football. Hey everybody. Today's guest is Trevor Keith, guitarist and lead vocalist for the Southern California band face to face.

I've known Trevor for many, many years. Less than Jake has had the pleasure of touring with

face to face many times the first time in 1997 as part of the snow core tour

and most recently in 2018 and we get along famously with these guys love the band

Trevor picked disconnected to discuss today and there was lots to talk about.

Trevor and original bassist Matt Riddle were high school buddies who both had a love for

Iron Maiden.

They were metal heads and they both came to punk rock a little later because they were more metal as teens but they related to the pop sensibilities of punk rock

Disconnected was created out of a sort of mimicking of the Fagasy song merchandise. Trevor talked about how he doesn't usually write

lyrics first. The verse melody came to him really quickly during the writing of this song.

We talked about how once disconnected got added to Kay Rock.

It completely blew up their shows in California and led to a ton of exposure for the band.

And I told Trevor that I still hear it played on the radio every time I'm in California.
