Well, I just want to ask straight up

Is this Atlanta shooting is this an example of rising Asian American racism in the nation?

Yeah, that's a great question. I've actually been thinking about that and I know there's

quite a bit of conversation around it. I think you know you have one angle that's clearly this is Asian American racism

You have the I would say a modified version of that that says something along land is I'm sure you've heard it is

Even if the shooter was not saying its racism

These are women who've been impacted by racism

By having to work these kinds of jobs and things like that in America

And then you have you know more the camp that saying you know this you know

And then you know that's not racism and then you have I think in my opinions, you know

Miss spoken words by the police chief

That you know this guy was just having a bad day. I think comments like that has created the I think I'd stir the pot for this conversation

When when I'm looking at this you know, I think what I'm recognizing is that

First of all, I think there's been racism against Asian Americans for a very long time not just this last year

Right with COVID I

Think there's been racism towards Asians. I'm sure you know people you know have experienced it

I think you just had a podcast about that. I've experienced it and it's not exclusively
