Everybody, Tom Woods here. Well, we're talking to John Schaeffer today, very interesting guy,

who is the founder of the metal band, IceEarth. And he's got numerous side projects as well. We'll

get to the course of our discussion, but I knew a bit about his music, but did not know about his

politics at all until I saw a video he made endorsing Donald Rainwater for Governor of Indiana.

And you may know that was the libertarian candidate who actually pulled quite well.

So I listened to the video and I realized here we have one of the very small handful

of dissenting voices in the metal community that thinks that maybe there might be some

better approach to life than staying locked in your house. But beyond just the lockdown stuff,

it turns out that John Schaeffer was a Ron Paul supporter. He knows who G. Edward Griffin is.

I mean, so he's way, way ahead of 99% of mankind. I thought I got to have this guy on

talk to him. And that's exactly what we're going to do today. John, welcome to the show.

You know, I'm a blind guardian fan, which meant that through twists and turns, I got to IceEarth,

but I didn't know because I must be living in a cave, what your political views were,

until I saw your endorsement of Rainwater in the, I guess, Indiana Goop and Toreal election.

By the way, what's, I know you're, I guess you're from Indiana. What state do you live in now?

I still live in Indiana. Do you? Okay. Okay. But I think you have a cell phone number from

another state like I do. I never changed it when I moved to another state. So I was wondering

if you were in Indiana or not. Yeah. Now I still live here. That's true. It's a Florida cell phone,

but I, you know, I mean, I'm a global traveler, man. So while I was. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You and me both.
