I remember when we got to Karanga Valley, which is around day six of the climb, and I got

to camp close to 6 p.m. at night and just looking down at the valley and you see all of Africa

below you here, I fell to my knees thinking, I can't comprehend the beauty. And it was amazing.

Mount Kilimanjaro is Africa's highest peak extending 19,341 feet above seat level. As the tallest freestanding mountain in the world,

it's made up of three volcanic cones, the highest being Kibo, which is currently dormant. Although

Kibo hasn't erupted in 360,000 years, there's always a chance it could go again someday.

On today's show, Jeff Timmons talks about his ascent of Mount Kilimanjaro and his unique way of funding his amazing adventure.

Yeah, it's good to have you.

So let's dig into Kilimanjaro, but before we do, I want to just have you fill our audience in on your

background a little bit. We get all kinds on the show. Some are professional mountain climbers,

and that's all they do. Some are weekend warriors. They have a nine to five job, and they get out

and do some things on the side, and some are, you know, run up the middle of adventure.

So who are you?

I mean, how did you, what is your adventure lifestyle?
