Chuck Garfin here with Ryan McGuffie, and still a couple weeks away from the winter meetings and we can't

wait till the winter meetings. We need info now. We need perspective now Ryan McGuffey. So we decided

let's talk to someone who's just plugged in. A guy who knows stuff, right? Knows a lot of

stuff. Knows a lot of people. Has earned his cred, literally.

Yes.

Yeah, a lot of late nights for a Bob Nightingale. Yeah, so we decided, let's call up Bob Nightingale. And he was the one who broke the story that, hey, book it, he's going, Bryce Harper's going to the Phillies. Yeah. So we wanted to ask him about that. And that was going to be the thrust of our conversation was about Bryce Harper.

But we went into some other different direction. We wanted to ask him about that, and that was going to be the thrust of our conversation

But we went into some other different directions, thanks to him, information that he has,

that has us thinking, oh, if it's not going to be Bryce Harper, where else might the White

Sox go?

Well, I like that.

I think that part of what he was doing was saying, hey, look, here, yeah, Harper's the grand prize, but there is a lot of trophies to be handed out here, and the White Sox are in play kind of for all of them. And there are some other names that have significance to the White Sox and their rebuild. That would make a lot of sense. Now, if they don't, he didn't say they're out on Harper.

He just said if they don't land Harper, if they don't land Machado, there's a lot of other pieces that can plug in and fill in right now. He gave a plan B. Okay, I'm not going to say the names. Okay. I was going to say the names. Okay. But a plan B that if this was to happen, maybe we do a podcast, another podcast about this plan B. Yeah, yeah. Absolutely. Okay, I think we're going to do a podcast coming up about the plan B that Bob is put together. He didn't say Plan B, but I'm calling it a plan. Yeah, I'm just going to say it because maybe the White Sox, maybe it's their plan A. So I don't know if Plan V.

So it's our Plan V.

Yeah.

Well, one of the names fits right into my Plan A. Yeah. So I like one of the names. I don't dislike one name. Well, Plan A is Bryce Harper. Yeah. Yeah, I know. But they also need a pitcher. So I'm just guess they also need a pitcher Okay so he kind of fit they have
