It was a book I had on my radar and had planned to read, but the suggestion from Ann definitely urged me to go ahead with it.

I neglected to talk about it on the podcast because it was only an idea and maybe a few hundred words at the time,

but I have recently begun writing a novel on top of the two children's book projects I did mention.

And since I began reading on writing, it has just made me more excited about writing.

I'm still only 3,500 words into writing this one, but I am very happy with it so far.

I had checked out on writing from the library shortly after recording and began reading it late last week.

Over the weekend, my sister-in-law was visiting from St. Louis, and since we were not able to see her over Christmas time,

we exchanged gifts this past weekend.

She laughed as she gave me mine, and when I opened it to see a new copy of On Riding, I knew why.

She had no idea it was one of my recommendations from Ann, so I guess great minds do think alike.

I was able to get copies of Sleeping Giants and Underground Airlines as well, and will begin one of them when I finish On Riding.
