and I'm your host. And on today's episode, I am talking with John and a little bit of Mira,

but mostly we're talking to John, who is the human in the human dog bike riding, bike

adventuring and bike packing duo that is John and Mira.

In 2023, John and Mira became the first ever human and dog team to complete the tour divide route.

And in 2023, they started on their journey to be the first ever human dog team to complete a world tour by

traveling to all seven continents of the world. I'm sure many of you are familiar with John

Amira. They made a lot of waves last year on the Tour Divide, and he has an excellent YouTube channel

and social media following. So many people are aware of John Amira, and like many of you,

I have completely become enamored and have fallen in love with them as a riding pair. And I was really excited to chat with

both of them. So on today's episode, the first half of today's episode, we're going to be talking

about John Amira, their relationship, how they got started, as well as talk about some dog

packing how tos.

John is an absolute expert in this field.

He's been doing it for many, many years

and has acquired a vast wealth of knowledge

and information through his travels with Mira

and with his first dog, Mellon.

So I wanted to take this opportunity to really dig into some of the how-toes on how to go

adventuring, bike packing, bike touring with your dog.

I know many of you are dog lovers.
